Tilrem, near Brønnøysund, Nordland

Gradiometer mapping on this area of grassland revealed several concealed and partially visible remains from the Iron Age, the Early Middle Ages and recent times. A - invisible, confirmed paved track leading to E, B - visible burial cairn, C - almost invisible burial cairn, D - possible stone circle, E - visible (partially excavated) tri-radial cairn, F - visible ruins of a Medieval church, G - two invisible assumed remnants of boat-shaped graves, H - invisible, possible dwelling with an invisible (confirmed) track branching off the main farm track, I - 19th century smithy, J - various modern tractor tracks and ditches, K - various invisible field boundaries and the like, partly shown on a map from 1892, L - gravel farm track.
