Assumed longhouses at Garnås, near Nesbyen in Hallingdal

Several fields were surveyed in 2012 close to woodland about 570 m a.s.l. where visible prehistoric and medieval iron production sites and arable fields had been mapped earlier. The gradiometer survey revealed what appears to be a complex of three or four overlapping longhouses, two separate fragmentary longhouses and several other features. Traces of earlier activity were also recorded in the other fields.
